SAFEGUARDING

At Caring 4 Young Minds, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. The safety, wellbeing and protection of the children and young people we support is our highest priority.

We are committed to creating a therapeutic environment where every child feels safe, respected and heard. All counsellors working within Caring4YoungMinds:

  • hold an enhanced DBS check

  • are trained in safeguarding and child protection

  • work within the ethical frameworks of their professional bodies

  • follow clear safeguarding procedures and reporting pathways

  • receive regular clinical supervision to ensure safe, reflective practice

Our service operates in line with national safeguarding legislation and guidance, including Working Together to Safeguard Children. We work collaboratively with parents, schools and other professionals to ensure that any concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing are responded to promptly and appropriately.

Caring 4 Young Minds has its own Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Teresa Davey, who oversees all safeguarding matters within the service. Teresa ensures that concerns are responded to promptly, appropriately and in line with statutory guidance.

Caring 4 Young Minds is not an emergency or crisis service. If a child or young person is at immediate risk of harm, we will follow safeguarding procedures and contact the appropriate services to ensure their safety.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and we are committed to providing a therapeutic space where children can grow, heal and feel protected.
